The Academic Programme comprises of two weeks intensive study using the Kennedy School's specially designed case study method of learning.
Participants are also involved in individual project work, specific to their own experience.
Each participant is required to provide a case study to demonstrate the wider knowledge of organisational management gained through the programme (for more information on the Kennedy School of Government, log on to www.ksg.harvard.edu).

The Leadership in Action week of the programme is designed to help participants explore some of the concepts considered during the Harvard element of the Programme in the context of the challenges faced by key players in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
Participants visit organisations in Boston to hear from a range of leaders and to explore with them how key topics like inter-agency working, visioning, communication and change management are being worked out in practice and the role they believe leaders need to play.
On return from the programme, participants will be expected to undertake individual Leadership Challenges, which will include meetings with some other members of the group. The programme will conclude with a two-day residential event led by members of the Kennedy School of Government.
